English 4, Post 7, 'Changes to my study programme'

Hi there! I am already in my fourth semester of chemistry and pharmacy and so far all the subjects have been quite general, newly next semester I should have a general pharmacology subject, compared to the curricula of other universities these subjects begin to be given much earlier, so one change I would make to the curriculum is to advance pharmacology subjects a bit, although I don't know how convenient this is. At the moment I have felt that the academic load has been quite adequate most of the time, but this is because I have not had to travel 2 and a half hours of round trip from my house to the faculty every day, so I hope that at time to return to normal the academic load does not increase. Compared to the infrastructure of other faculties, our faculty seems quite small, with some of my friends we joke saying that the faculty is a "matchbox" next to other faculties, I especially wish there were more bathrooms and not having to walk so much to find one. But even so

English 4, Post 6, 'Time Travel to the future'

Hi there! If I had to choose between traveling to the past or to the future, I would choose a thousand times to travel to the past, I have always thought that I would like to travel to prehistory to meet the dinosaurs, see how humanity evolved biologically, see how they were built the great pyramids of egypt, see if the city of atlantis really existed, see with my own eyes if jesus christ really existed, and thus be able to solve some of the many unknowns that there are regarding the past. If I traveled to the future I think I could only see how humanity ends up leading to its own extinction, but even so I would like to travel many years to the future to see how technology has developed, see if it is already possible for an ordinary person and current travel to outer space, see if we have continued to evolve biologically or have undergone any mutation as humanity, see if we have discovered more life somewhere in the universe or have been invaded by an alien species, or even see if huma

English 4, Post 5, 'My future job'

Hi there! The chemistry and pharmacy career has many areas of performance, such as community pharmacy, healthcare pharmacy, hospitable, industrial, research and laboratory. Personally, I think that I would not like to work in a pharmacy or hospital having direct contact with the patient or consumer, there are other areas of the career that call my attention much more. Throughout my career I have had very few experiences in the laboratory, but they have been experiences in which I have enjoyed and learned a lot. Laboratory work is very methodical and systematic, there are very specific processes and steps to be followed very precisely, it is necessary to weigh and measure substances in a very precise way, etc. Although it is a job that can be very difficult and exhausting, I would very much like to work in a laboratory in the area of pharmacology or dermocosmetics. Most of the labs are indoors, but I would also be interested in working outdoors studying about plants that can be used a

Hi there! In this post I will write about one of my favorite manga, "blue period", which is written and illustrated by Tsubasa Yamaguchi and currently continues to be published since June 2017. The main plot of the manga is about yaguchi yatora, a popular high school student with good grades, but  even so he feels a great emptiness in his life and does not know what to do with his future. One day he passed by the art club and was impressed by the painting of one of the members of the club, what inspires him to paint his favorite landscape in art class, the blue dawn of the streets of Shibuya, at that moment he feels that through art he was able to express freely and sincerely for the first time. Based on these facts, even as a beginner and without knowing anything about art, Yaguchi made the decision to enter the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. This is one of my favorite manga since it deals in a very sincere and painful way how we relate to what we are passionate about in lif

Hi there! Although it is a subject that I have not studied formally and in depth as I would like, I am very interested in pharmacognosy and phytotherapy, both are pharmaceutical sciences based on the use of active principles of natural origin, for example plant, microbial and animal. Specifically phytotherapy is a therapeutic area that specializes in the use of products of plant origin to prevent and cure symptoms of some diseases. Currently around thirty percent of drugs are direct or indirect derivatives of plants, whose active principles are derived from various medicinal plants. This science is of great importance since it can be used as a precursor to develop drugs of semi-synthetic origin, modifying the basic molecular structure of the active principle to obtain a much more effective and stable component, as well as being able to counteract many side effects and disadvantages. Among the most important medicines of plant origin and used today are aspirin and morphine, initially as

English 4, Post 2, 'The best holidays'

Hi there! I have never liked being away from home for a long time, much less taking very long trips during my vacations, personally I prefer to stay at home reading a manga, watching an anime, drawing something or learning something new. In the summer of 2019 I went with my best friend to the anime expo santiago, held at the mapocho station cultural center, it was the second year I attended this convention. Although inside the building it was hellishly hot (and it didn't smell very good being a place full of otakus hahaha), I was able to see and buy many things.  Among what I was able to buy are some pencils that I still use to draw, some stickers and badges from some of my favorite illustrators, and most importantly, my first gundam model kit. It was a gundam barbatos lupus, from the anime "gundam iron blooded orphans", I spent much of the rest of my vacation arming it, being the first one I build it was a bit complicated to do it and I broke some pieces, but it was very

English 4, Post 1, 'A country you would like to visit'

Hi there!  A country that I would really like to visit is Japan, if possible before the next 10 years. My interest in Japan was born when I started to watch anime and read manga, and currently I think I know some Japanese culture, I've even learned a bit of the language by watching anime haha. Among the things I would like to do in Japan is buy gundam plastic model kits or gunpla, build gunplas it's a hobby that I've had for about 4 years, but in Chile it can be difficult to find some models or they are very expensive. Also, one of my dreams is to go to a live concert of my favorite japanese bands that have never been to Chile, like Scandal, Kana Boon, Wanima and LiSA. Thinking seriously, I wouldn't like to live in Japan permanently, currently Japan continues being a country where there is a lot of racism, sexism, homophobia and labor exploitation, probably and even more than in Chile, and in my opinion Japan is a country that is very idealized.
